Birthing Simulator (Trainer) - Force Monitoring
Advanced PROMPT Flex childbirth simulator is an anatomically correct representation of mother and child. Its modular design allows for multiple training scenarios and is the basis for a full range of delivery modules.
In addition to the functionality of the standard model, this version has Bluetooth-enabled forced baby monitoring.
During childbirth, there is a force threshold that can lead to injury to the brachial plexus during shoulder dystocia. Force Monitoring Baby measures the force applied by students during exercises. When combined with the Birthing Simulator software, instructors have the ability to record the actions and interventions performed, as well as the time for the birth.
A simple measurement mode in the software allows trainees to practice applying force to a baby outside of the context of a scenario, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the feeling of both safety and excessive force before facing a real obstetric emergency.
