Infant Hip Examination Trainer
The Infant Hip Exam Trainer has been designed to meet the specific requirements of healthcare professionals training to identify and diagnose developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH).
This simulator represents a 1-month-old term female and can simulate a normal, dislocated and dis-locatable or ‘lax’ hip joint, allowing for practice of Barlow and Ortolani manoeuvres as well as the Galeazzi sign. The baby has been designed with interchangeable normal and abnormal leg modules and one Upper torso, to allow trainees to identify the haptics of both a normal and abnormal hip.
As part of the accurate haptics of the product, the simulator features realistic ‘clunk’ that trainees can feel when resetting the dislocated hip. Built with versatility in mind, the simulator allows for repeated training of the Barlow and Ortolani manoeuvres, as well as the Galeazzi sign.
Product care is simple, and is Latex-Free.
