BSS Tendon Repair Trainer
A representation of a finger flexor tendon at approximately twice life-size. Developed in conjunction with the Royal College of Surgeons, London (UK). It allows for the practice of tendon repair skills in accordance with the revised RCS Intercollegiate BSS course.
Skills:
- Tendon handling using hypodermic needles;
- Trimming tendon edges;
- Performing a Kessler suture.
Features:
- Tensioning system and hinged digit allows for testing of repair once completed.
- Economical: - each tendon can be used twice in conjunction with the skin sheath; - many times without the skin sheath.
- Tendon material is comprised of an inner core with reinforced circumferential material – ideal for holding the appropriate sutures.
- Non-slip base.
