Pediatric Cardiothoracic Trainer SAM
The Pediatric Cardiothoracic Trainer SAM is a high-fidelity, team-based surgical trainer developed in collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital. It is designed for immersive training in pediatric cardiothoracic surgery, enabling operating room teams to perform critical surgical steps within a realistic simulated environment.
As part of a modular system representing a 14-month-old infant, the trainer supports multidisciplinary team training and full operating room participation. It allows key procedures such as emergent resternotomy to be realistically performed during simulation.
