KETOS TEST RING

The ketos ring has a number of artificial defects for both Dry Powder and Wet Method and meets ASTM E1444

MAGNETIC PARTICLE TEST PIECE

Contains course and fine artificial surface and sub-surface defects in both directions. Meets or exceeds most specifications for artificial test specimens including MIL-STD-271

MAGNETIC INDICATOR STRIPS

Used to provide a guide to the strength of the magnetic field at the precise point of their location.

   Type I for general use.
   Type II for aerospace work.

CALIBRATED FIELD INDICATOR

Scaled to +/- 20 gauss from zero for determining the level of residual magnetism to 5% of full-scale reading.

As above except scaled to +/- 10 gauss

ASME FIELD INDICATOR

Used to gauge the strength and direction of the magnetic field in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section V.

QQI TEST PIECES

Quantitative Quality Indicators (QQI) are Magnetic Particle Test Pieces with Artificial Defects.
a. Standard (KSC-230) QQI’s Basic circular and crossed bar flaw configuration suitable for longitudinal and circular fields.
b. Miniature (KSC-4-230) QQI’s. Similar to KSC-230, except miniature design for small areas on test part. The four circles may be cut apart for individual use.
c. Variable Depth (KSCT-234) QQI’s These QQI’s are used for more quantitative work, three concentric circular flaws of differing depth.
